Investments in Production Flexibility and Capacity
After completing a significant hall extension in 2022, Tasowheel has installed a comprehensive FMS line in the Tikkakoski facility. This state-of-the-art addition not only enhances production efficiency but also reinforces Tasowheel’s commitment to innovation and quality.
The introduction of the new automation line last fall has brought significant benefits to both the company and our end customers. The line includes two Mazak HCN-6800 NEO horizontal machining centers with 160-tool chain magazines, PALLETECH HIGH RISE SYSTEM pallet system with 28 pallets and two loading stations, and an additional tool magazine TOOL TRANSPORT SYSTEM (TTS) with 504 tool positions. This system boasts a total of 824 tool positions, enabling the processing of larger workpieces and providing additional tool capacity, thereby improving efficiency, and ensuring uninterrupted long-term production.
Investments in automation and robotics support the company’s growth strategy and enhance competitiveness. Our investments in automation, machining technology, and flexible production processes lay a solid foundation for profitable growth.
“Tasowheel’s top priority is to serve customers in the best possible way. We aim to offer our customers first-class service and high-quality products, which is ultimately what these new solutions are all about,” says Production Manager Antti Kautto.
In addition to developing and diversifying production processes, a significant focus is placed on workplace safety and environmental issues. In addition, digitalization provides opportunities for process monitoring, and the possibilities of artificial intelligence in production planning or sales support functions are of interest for the future. Continuous improvement stands as a cornerstone of our philosophy, driving our commitment to excellence.
