Kristian’s Journey: Driven by Precision
Kristian has quickly found a rewarding path as machinist at Tasowheel. In just six years, he has sharpened his skills through specialized training, tapped into expert guidance, and earned recognition as one of the company’s Employees of the Year. Fueled by a supportive team and the freedom to shape his own tasks, Kristian continues to flourish in this dynamic environment.
When Kristian first joined Tasowheel—after completing his vocational upper secondary qualification in Metalwork and Machinery and gaining experience at two other companies—he was impressed by how fulfilling his new role could be. Now, with six years under his belt, he is one of the younger machinists on the team, yet he has already found his place and continues to thrive in his work. He is inspired by the expertise of the company’s technical expert in turning and its senior machinist. Part of what keeps him motivated is the freedom he has in his daily responsibilities: although he typically handles program setups, monitors quality and processes, and performs 5-axis machining, he is trusted to decide how best to approach each task.
In 2024, Kristian was recognized as one of Tasowheel’s Employees of the Year, celebrated for his exceptional attitude and consistently high-quality results. He has taken full advantage of the company’s educational opportunities, including two GibbsCAM courses that sharpened his programming skills and an occupational educator course that prepared him to train new machinists. He values the chance to grow through both formal training and hands-on experience. Equally important is the supportive atmosphere—if a challenge arises, his colleagues are always there to offer help and insight.
Outside of work, family life with his two children helps Kristian unwind and shift his focus away from the job. Looking ahead, in five years he sees himself still working at at Tasowheel. For him, Tasowheel is more than just a workplace: it is a community where precision, ongoing learning, and a collaborative spirit come together to shape a fulfilling and enduring career.
