Measuring Method

The Scienta 7213X Online Sensor series is based on the measurement of absorption of Gamma rays in a scintillation detector. The radiation source is soft x-ray transmitter tube, which is powered by an internal power supply generating 5-10 kV. The unit is very compact and has a built-in Profibus Fieldbus connection, which can be changed into a Modbus network by changing the software settings. A USB connection is used to manage the internal linearization and filtering options.
